About place

It was built in 1580 by the same architects who built the Black House. The customer was a wealthy Greek merchant Kornyakt, who could afford a luxurious six-window house in the central square of the medieval city. The courtyard of the house is surrounded on three sides by an open arcade. The people of Lviv call it Italian because of its resemblance to the Renaissance courtyards of Florence and Rome. Now the house houses a historical museum, and in the Italian courtyard there is a coffee shop in summer, and in the evenings there are concerts of classical music. Like the previous two houses, it was built in the Renaissance style
